
OFFERS/Ex-IT - provides services to collect good quality furniture and computers which are distributed at low cost to community and voluntary sector organisations, small start-up business, and socially disadvantaged members of the community to maximise the social benefits of waste minimisation and reuse. The collected items are diverted from landfill through reuse/ recycling in full compliance with Environment Agency requirements and the EU WEEE Directive. The project has a Sorting and Disassembly Centre for Category 2, 3 and 4 WEEE and also provides a secure Data Destruction service.
OFFERS/Ex-IT has developed infrastructure and provide services to collect surplus computer equipment and office furniture from businesses, local authorities, Universities and Higher Education Authorities and local residents. Over the year the project collected over 700 tonnes of ICT furniture and equipment, of which 98% was diverted from landfill.
Office Furniture - OFFERS/EX-IT has a large stock of good quality reused desks, chairs, tables, storage cabinets, partitions and other furniture. As a Local Community and Voluntary Sector Group it can save you up to 90% in capital costs, compared to the purchase of new furniture and fittings.
Computers - OFFERS/EX-IT has a large selection of refurbished computers, printers, fax machines, photocopiers are available at our Reuse Centre at Unit 7-9 Brandon Street SE17 (Elephant and Castle). We also provide technical support and assist with networking and repairs/upgrades.
Reuse/Recycling - OFFERS/Ex-IT can arrange a collection of your surplus waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for reuse and recycling in compliance with the WEEE regulations
Community Logistics - OFFERS/Ex-IT provides transport and logistical assistance to Local Community and Voluntary Sector Group needing to relocate.
IT Refurbishment & Recycling Training - OFFERS/Ex-IT also provides a series of IT refurbishment & recycling training courses
PAT Testing - electrical safety testing for mobile electrical appliances is mandatory every 2-years. OFFERS/Ex-IT can do this at your organisation at a discounted rate.
